Coinshot
Coinshot is a first-person traversal prototype inspired by Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn, based around the concept of pushing and pulling metal to propel yourself through the environment.
---------------------------------------
Lock onto iron anchors with your mouse, then push off walls to launch across rooftops, pull yourself toward distant girders, or tether to overhead beams and swing like a pendulum through the ash-choked streets of a dying city.
Core mechanics:
- Push & Pull — Newton's third law. Push off something heavy and you move. Push something light and it moves.
- Tether Swing — Lock onto metal above you and the connection becomes a rope. Swing through arches, shorten the rope to climb, extend it to reach further.
- Multi-target — Lock additional anchors to combine forces. Three anchors means three times the launch power.
- Mist-vision — Blue lines pierce walls and stone, revealing every piece of metal around you.
- Coins — Drop or fire metal coins to create your own anchors anywhere.
5 challenge levels that teach each mechanic in layers, from basic push/pull through swing chains, high-speed pull traversal, precision hovering, and a final vertical ascent that demands everything.
Built in Godot 4.6 with Jolt Physics. No external assets, everything is procedural geometry and GDScript.
